- Rep. Barney Frank said Monday that Republican criticism of Democrats
over the nations housing crisis is a veiled attack on the poor that's
racially motivated. A democrat playing the race card? Say it ain't so!
The
GOP presidential candidate told a campaign rally: "Sen. Obama has
accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he
believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be
believed."
China
has abruptly canceled a series of military and diplomatic contacts with
the United States to protest a planned $6.5 billion package of U.S.
arms sale to Taiwan.
Rep.
